Firmware updates

The firmware (internal software) in the MiniPlex-2 and MiniPlex-3 series multiplexers can be updated. To perform an update, download the desired firmware image file to your computer, start MPXConfig and use menu option File > Update Firmware... to select the downloaded file and start the update process.
A new version of MPXConfig may be required after the update to utilize new functions of the multiplexer.

The table with MiniPlex-3 firmware lists both MiniPlex-3 and MiniPlex-3PRO firmware files. Files must be downloaded for the correct type of multiplexer and cannot be interchanged.

MiniPlex-3/-3PRO See the Changelog for details about the updates.
MiniPlex-3 V3.4.0
MiniPlex-3PRO V3.4.0

The maximum communication speed of all NMEA 0183 inputs and outputs has been increased to 115200 Baud.
This version requires MPXConfig3/MPXConfig3PRO V3.4.0 or higher.

MiniPlex-3 V2.3.17

This firmware supports a new command $PSMDWI,R to completely restore the WiFi module to its factory settings.
This can revive a WiFi module which no longer responds to a $PSMDWI,A command.

MiniPlex-2 See the Changelog for details about the updates.
MiniPlex-2 V3.33.4 Fixed a bug that could lockup the MiniPlex when receiving too much NMEA data through the host port.
WiFi V4.75 This update addresses stability issues of the WiFi access point of the MiniPlex-2Wi. The required MiniPlex-2 firmware (V3.33.4) and update instructions are included in the package.

Configuration Software

MPXConfig is the configuration tool for MiniPlex multiplexers. From time to time we improve the firmware of the multiplexers and add new options. These options must be supported by MPXConfig. It is therefore important to match the version of MPXConfig to the version of the firmware in the multiplexer. The table below lists the matching combinations.
